Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: 15,000 – 20,000

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 6 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Sunday – OFF

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable home environment for a household consisting of 3 grown adults, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a newborn. The ideal candidate will have experience in household cleaning and maintenance, pet care, meal preparation, and household inventory management. The role requires a proactive approach and the ability to manage daily tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. General Cleaning & Maintenance:
    • Perform daily cleaning of the home, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and wiping down surfaces.
    • Clean and sanitize bathrooms and kitchens, ensuring all areas are spotless and well-maintained.
    • Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed, including windows, carpets, and upholstery.
    • Laundry duties include washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes, linens, and towels.
    • Keep all common areas, bedrooms, and storage spaces organized and tidy.
  2. Pet Care:
    • Feed and provide fresh water to the household’s two dogs and two cats.
    • Walk and exercise the dogs as needed.
    • Clean up after pets, including litter boxes, dog crates, and any pet accidents.
    • Basic grooming tasks such as brushing and occasional bathing (if needed).
  3. Meal Preparation & Cooking:
    • Prepare and cook a wide variety of meals for the household, catering to dietary preferences and requirements.
    • Plan weekly menus and ensure variety in meal options, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
    • Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized before and after meal preparation.
    • Safely store leftovers and manage food waste appropriately.
  4. Household Stock Keeping & Inventory Management:
    • Monitor and replenish household supplies, including cleaning products, toiletries, pantry items, and groceries.
    • Prepare and manage shopping lists for household essentials, coordinating with the household manager or employer as needed.
    • Keep track of household inventory to ensure that all necessary items are stocked and available.
    • Manage expiration dates and ensure that perishable items are used efficiently to minimize waste.
  5. Household Management:
    • Handle household errands such as picking up dry cleaning or deliveries.
    • Assist in overseeing household repairs and maintenance, including scheduling service providers.
    • Collaborate with other household staff (e.g., nanny) to ensure smooth operation of the home.
    • Occasionally assist with light childcare tasks if needed (e.g., keeping an eye on the baby while the nanny is unavailable).
  6. Additional Duties:
    • Report any issues, damage, or necessary repairs in a timely manner to the household manager or employer.
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a housekeeper or in a similar role, with experience in meal preparation and cooking.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Experience with pet care, including feeding, walking, and basic grooming.
  • Ability to handle laundry, ironing, and other household chores efficiently.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage household inventory and keep track of stock levels.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanour.
  • Trustworthy and reliable with a strong sense of responsibility.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable working in a household with pets.
  • Basic knowledge of safe cleaning practices and how to handle cleaning chemicals.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if required.
